Needle Nook 50th Anniversary Yarn Collection
To celebrate 50 years of Needle Nook, we partnered with
Freckled Frog Yarns of Savannah, Georgia to create three
exclusive colorways that tell the story of our shop — past, present, and future.
Each skein in this collection reflects a different chapter of Needle Nook’s journey and the people who have shaped it.
💜 The Past — Arlene’s Baby
Inspired by my mother Arlene’s favorite jewel tones of purple and teal,
this colorway represents the heart and creativity that founded Needle Nook in 1976.
💛 The Present — Family Jewels
Family Jewels builds on Arlene’s beloved palette of purple and teal and adds
ochre — a warm golden tone that reflects the shop today.
The name also nods to my father, Milton, who was a jeweler in Atlanta — a quiet reminder that creativity and craftsmanship run deep in our family.
🤍 The Future — DeAnne Dotty Daydreams
A soft natural base sprinkled with speckles of purple, teal, and ochre — the same family palette reimagined with a lighter, more modern touch.
This colorway represents the next chapter of Needle Nook and the creativity of the community still to come.
